A visit to the Old Age Home ‘Aastha’ was organized by Era University, Creative Arts Club on December 19, 2023. This was a part of social service and outreach program under the campaign ‘We need more Santas this Christmas season’, under which winter clothes were collected by students of Era University from last week of November to December 18, 2023 which were sent as donation to the elderly at Aastha. The hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Farzana Mahdi supported the initiative of the Creative Arts Club whole-heartedly and as a manifestation of her good wishes contributed winter caps and socks for all the inmates of the old home. The visit was organized and conducted by Dr. Rupali Mirza, Chairperson, Creative Arts Club and was accompanied by co-conveners, Dr. Shazia Fatima and Ms. Hershika Verma. The faculty was assisted by student volunteers, Faiz Ahmad Khan and Khwaja Aftab Ahmed from BCA, second year. Service to humanity is service to God is our intention when Era University conducts such social service and outreach initiatives.
