On the eve of "International Nurses Day," Era College of Nursing celebrated 199th birth Anniversary of Florence Nightingale (Founder of Modern Nursing). Florence Nightingale was born on 12th May 1820 and she dedicated her life for the suffering Humanity.
On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Era University announced that the Era University is shortly going to establish a new Department of Happiness. He said that Happiness is not a joke and it requires a lot of efforts to be happy. He further said that the new department will facilitate positive psychology and it will be a boon for not only the students but also for the teachers. He said that the University plans to start a certificate course in the coming session and this will be first such department in the whole country.
Principal College of Nursing Prof. Reena Bhowal welcomed the Guests and spoke about the importance of Balance, Mind, and Spirit.
Students and Faculty actively participated to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of Florence Nightingale. Various curricular and extracurricular activities were organized on the occasion.
