Visit of Principal Secretary Medical Education Dr. Rajneesh Dube and Inauguration of Department of Happiness

Honorable Principal Secretary of Department of Medical Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Rajneesh Dube, IAS, visited the Era University on 16th August 2019 and inaugurated the "Department of Happiness".

Department of Happiness has been established at Era University with Dr. Meeta Ghosh as its head of the department. This is first such department to be established in any University in India.

Amongst there present on the occasion were Hon'ble Chancellor Mr. Mohsin Ali Khan, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi, Prof. M.M.A. Faridi, Principal & Dean, Era's Lucknow Medical College & Hospital, Prof. Mastan Singh, Dean, Basic Medical Sciences, Prof. Meeta Ghosh, Prof. G. K. Singh, Prof. Rajendra Prasad, Prof. P.K.Sharma, Prof. Riaz Mehdi and Prof. S.K.Das.

Honorable Principal Secretary, Dr. Rajneesh Dube, addressing the gathering appreciated the use of latest teaching and training methodology at the Era University and he said that he was highly impressed by the latest innovative digital 3D Animation and use of Medical Games to achieve expertise in the skills acquisition of Medical students.

He said that the use of these teaching methodologies would ultimately help the medical students in skill acquisition for the better future of India in Medical Sciences.

Honorable Principal Secretary, Dr. Rajneesh Dube, also appreciated the vision of Era University and was also highly impressed by the publication of a number of quality research works.

Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi, Vice-Chancellor, Era University welcomed the Guest and briefed him about the University achievements. At the end of the program, Prof. M.M.A. Faridi proposed a vote of thanks.
